Athletes are increasingly adopting a vegan diet and achieving top results. Proof of this is Canadian skater Meagan Duhamel, who has been vegan since December 2008. Reading the book ‘Skinny Bitch’ which talks about the health benefits of moving to a vegan diet and protecting animal rights, she removed all non-vegan food from the kitchen the next morning. Not only has she become vegan, she is also an advocate for the vegan lifestyle and blogs about it.
One of the benefits of veganism for her is that she can control her weight more easily and is always in top condition.
Meagan Duhamel is a two-time world champion, winner of the gold, silver and bronze Winter Olympic medals and seven-time Canadian pair skating champion along with her skating partner Eric Radford.
